Our products with the beginning of november
With the onset of winter and with the first cold snap the production of fruit and vegetables get relocated to areas with a temperate climate: from Central Europe to Southern Europe on the peninsula Italy. From Sicily, Puglia, Campania and Lazio we load our full assortment of vegetables. Cauliflower, Kohlrabi, Radish, Fennel … Products.
Wholefood Products
Our organic Primofiore lemons are sourced from one of the largest organic farms on the sundrenched island of Sicily and are on sale from late October to late May. Only selected examples of these excellent juicy fruits are shipped. Any discoloured or blemished fruit goes straight to processing into organic lemon juice.
The producer’s farm is certified by the accredited supervisory bodies Sincert, BioAgriCert and IFOAM.
Individual shipments are accompanied by a certificate confirming product compliance.
Blood oranges
Sicilian orange groves have always been on the small side with correspondingly small harvests. In order to source sufficient quantities of organic oranges, several smaller certified organic farms had to merge, using a single warehouse. After initial difficulties this has worked well.
Most of the organic oranges are blood oranges like MORO and SANGUINELLI. NAVELINAS and NAVELS are being grown each year thanks to new plantings, with no new plantings of blood oranges.
Vegetables and potatoes from Sicily
We are starting to supply on a small scale new potatoes, iceberg lettuce, kohlrabi and chicory.
Kiwifruit from Northern Italy
More and more holdings are converting to organic farming.
