1933
The company Terra
was founded in the distant year of 1933, the Latin name terra standing for mother earth that gives us our fresh produce.
The core activity
from the very beginning consisted in storing, processing and shipping South Tyrolean apples and pears, mainly abroad. Gradually, the business was expanded to include products from other regions of Italy. Within a short time, Terra’s product range included all the most important fruit and horticultural products as well as citrus fruits in Italy.
The development
The post-war period
required a lot of effort and resourcefulness. The upheavals, both in production and distribution, have been enormous since then. The processing, packaging and logistics that are normal today were unimaginable back then. We have moved with the times and have consolidated our roots in production through close cooperation with leading farms.

Focus on organic and sustainably produced food
Since we started with organic in 1998, we have continuously expanded our range of organic and later also biodynamic products.
2015
Entry into production
For some time now, Terra has also been a producer itself. Thanks to our own production, we are, as always, at the forefront for you! In addition to our asparagus cultivation, we have a lot more planned for you. We work together with long-time experts in production to guarantee you the best produce.
